janewb Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 In researching and booking a trip on Hotwire for Puerto Rico, the hotel I wanted - the Wyndham El Conquistidor showed up on 3/18-3/21 for $131. I searched the same dates and area using Hotel + Car and the total came to $1,100. Just wanted others to be aware. It seems the Hotwire hotel price is not the same if you do it that way.
thereuare Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Most likely lose much of the discount since you're not buying anything 'opaque'. It more like a traditional package booking... and priced as such. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
hotwirecsr Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 Just wondering if you bought the hotel after the first search otherwise with the opacity how did you know it was the same hotel?
