Having no luck for 2 months bidding on PL for NYC.

Needed a back up plan -- used the Quickbook

and secured the Mela Hotel at $252/nt.

Way more than I'd care to pay (I'm cheap!) -- but I'll take it as it appears

to be a great price compared to anything else Ive seen on a ton

of sites.

I'm still hoping to find something that works better -- but I can live with this if I have to.

Only 48hrs left on my window to cancel.....

so the clock is ticking.

thanks to this site -- I at least have options.

i am in nyc now and can't find anything even remotely reasonable for that period - i need a hotel as well - right now i am booked thru tuesday but nothing after weds... almost everything is completely booked - just search on hi or hilton or spg - and prices are more insane than normal

even hotwire has almost NOTHING for these days

and btw the hotel mela on your link shows no availabity - so you might have the last room :)

so far i have not heard of anything out of teh ordinary - but almost every single chain is completely booked - everything in hilton/hi/spg is gone - its scary frankly. even diamond on hilton is not getting me anything under $800.

:) i may have to go to newark airport!

the only thing i see signs for is the NFL draft but i cant imagine that is booking up the entire city

Does anyone know what is going on that weekend that would have the entire city booked?

the weather in late April tends to be a bit more moderate than in January and February, this results in more travellers visiting, increasing demand for hotel rooms.
