thereuare
Thanks for sharing your results! The hotel's website shows an internet rate of $99/nite for your dates so i think you did ok and saved some money, but we've seen this property come up for less and your bidding strategy wasn't very sound. We generally try to rank the zones by price and add one zone at a time when bidding... this gives you the opportunity to try a few times and get the lowest possible price. As well, you raised your bid when lowering from Resort to 4* which is a common error. You can read more about this here: IF YOU LOWER YOUR QUALITY LEVEL... LOWER YOUR PRICE. There were also RE-Bid Zones available so there was no reason to have to lower your star rating so soon. For future bids feel free to ask for help first... it's free, we don't bite, and we might be able to save you even more money!Enjoy your stay. Stan
Thanks for your advice. This was my second time using Priceline since Aug 2003. I did not know that a 4* hotel is a stepdown from Resort. The renaissance is listed as a 3* in other rating. In your opinion, do you think I overbidded by about $10/night?Thanks again.Stan Link to comment
