Pammie Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 I am looking to bid for a room on the above dates through priceline for a 4* hotel in Midtown East or South up to $200 dollars. Do you have any tips that will help me achieve a 'win' I do find this business confusing even though I have read lots of the info
thereuare Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! Not sure if $200 is going to be enough for this stay, but we can give it a try. However, to improve your changes, is there a reason why you're not including MTW or UM/CPS in your bidding... as those zones offer good value in NYC. As well, including more zones will not only give more hotels the ability to accept your bid, but also gives you many more re-bidding opportunities. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Pammie Posted April 15, 2007 Author Report Posted April 15, 2007 My husband wanted to stay central to everything and the reading I've done suggested East was best, but I'm game to try the others. I'll be bidding from UK do you think that will be OK? I can increase the bid. I would be grateful in you could give me some pointers as to what I should do and likely outcomes. Thank you
Pammie Posted April 16, 2007 Author Report Posted April 16, 2007 I have tried to book a room but Priceline site won't accept my details. It didn't like the fact I did not choose a State. I thought I had read in the forums that it was possible to book from outside the U.S. Can anyone confirm this?
dahammer Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Pammie, check out this thread: Priceline Non-USGood Luck!
