Dear everyone,

i just came back last week from Philly and stayed at the Holiday Inn. April4-6. here is my report.

staff- they were very friendly and helpful to me and my family. I did ask if a ref was not normally included in the room, they said no BUT they will send one up to my room. No charge. When I went back to the room, a man just left my room. He already delivered the ref! Everyone said hello or thank you. Even the cleaning lady left little notes to say thanks.

room- was decent and clean and so was the tub. I saw nothing unusual. tha a/c was a big noisy but I am a heavy sleeper so it did not matter. :) Fresh towels everyday, cable tv, daily newspapers, iron and ironing board.

pool- this is a problem. they were remodelling the pool so I did not get to use it. the kids were disappointed. As per the sign, it will be reopened april20.

car- there is an onsite car rental service called Express car service.

food- there is an onsite glass tree restaurant where kids eat free with a paying adult. My wife went there and my two kids were free ( i did not eat there. Am on diet :) )! 3 meals for $15 (which included coffee for me). There is a TGIF across the parking lot (free parking). Caveat. Show your hotel keycard and get $5 off your tab!

others- the hotel is undergoing renovation. the elevator stopped at the 2nd and 3rd floor and opened to reveal a lot of building materials. However, I did not hear any noise at all w/ regards to the renovation.

The front entrance of the hotel was undergoing its repair the day after I arrived. The temporary entrance is to the side near the Express car rental. Hope this helps fellow hotwire and priceliners here.

this may not be the correct forum for my post, but you may want to consider calling Hotwire's customer service and complain that the pool was not in service for your dates of travel due to remodeling, and you may negotiate for some "hot dollars" to be put into your hotwire account for a future stay. The Pool icon should have been removed from the Hotwire listing if the hotel posted that it would re-open on 4/20. It never hurts to ask! Good Luck!
