spenge Posted April 3, 2007 Author Report Posted April 3, 2007 I have just gone onto Hotwire to have a look at the hotel again and the price has been reduced to $99 per night.
spenge Posted April 3, 2007 Author Report Posted April 3, 2007 The amenities that are stated on the hotwire website when you are book, are they guaranteed or just 'possible'.I am planning to book one that has suite down on the amenities list, will I be guaranteed to get a suite?Cheers

thereuare Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 The above hotel has not yet been identified, but here are some thoughts/comments which may help guide you nonetheless:At first this sounded like the Suite-Hotels brand by Accor but i couldn't find any of their properties in this zone... perhaps this is an option for you as well (but do note that their locations are generally on the 'outskirts' of the city)The amenities are guaranteed by HOTWIRE, so if you don't get a Suite then you would have a legitimate (imo) complaint against hotwire (and their customer service is actually pretty good). However, i wouldn't expect a "full suite" that you would likely get at a Hilton or Westin property... think more along the lines of an AmeriSuites or even a Comfort or Candlewood Suites. If you're really interested in this property i would sooner play it by searching HOTWIRE for the first nite (or first couple of nites) of your stay and then searching for the balance of your stay... see if what is believed to be the same hotel (based upon star rating amenities) is offered for each leg of your stay. If it is, then i'd purchaes the first nite (or few nites) in order to "look behind the curtain"... if happy with the outcome then go ahead and purchaes the remaining nites; if not happy, deal with it for the first nite (or couple of nites) and then make alternate plans for the balance of your stay.Lastly, i have been researching Paris lately and although this may be too general of a comment (so take it for what it's worth) i had read that any location with "porte" in it's name is not near the city center... for a 10 days stay this may be fine with you, but realize that if you're heading to the typical "sites" you'll have a bit of a commute each day to deal with)If you do decide to purchase the above please use our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase. If you choose to split the purchase as described, please use our link for each purchase (ie- click our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase, if you're happy with the result please return here and click the link again to begin your second purchase)Let us know what you decide to do and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
