same day bid, accessed the Priceline site through savingsbarn.com....natch :)

I was hoping to get the Radisson again as it is closer to the L.I.Expressway; a few weeks ago I was able to score it for $39 for a Thursday night stay, a slow night for this property and the start of the weekend. The Radisson was $109 tonight, so I opened my 3* bid for $45, I was kind of surprised to get the Holiday Inn.

Your Offer Price: $45.00

Taxes & Service Fees: $11.91

Total Charges: $56.91

the Best rate on the Holiday Inn site was $142, so I might just splurge and get a second Cerveza Quilmes at Tango tonight! This is a perfectly acceptable hotel with free internet, lets see if I can schmooze the desk clerk into giving me a coupon for the free breakfast that is offered to Priority Club Members. Its kind of funny how things work out, but I remember staying at this hotel about 8 years ago and I'm sure the rate with tax was over $100.
