mucsea2003
Stayed here for one night with my family.Location: Within a quiet residential area. Not much to do around here but very close to the U-Bahn which will take you downtown in a few minutes. Also quite close to the Munich North stop of the Lufthansa Airport Bus which makes a comfortable ride of only about 25 minutes to the airport. The Marriott is about a block down the road. Plenty of safe, free street parking.Room: Very standard, clean hotel room. This would probably be a 3* by Priceline standards in the US. Positive: A window that would open all the way, overlooking a nice green courtyard. Totally quiet. Quite reasonable minibar prices. Negative: The two twin beds were very narrow. Small TV. No in-room coffee. Facilities: Small lobby. No swimming pool which was a bummer for the kids, but one can use the pool at the Marriott down the road. There is a small spa area which has a sauna, steam bath and a jacuzzi, which were clean and well kept and totally deserted when we were there.Staff: Very friendly, helpful and professional. No mention of Priceline at check-in.Can't comment on restaurant or bar since we didn't use them. We had breakfast at the Marriott which was 17.50 Euros and free for kids up to 6years. Not spectacular, but pretty good. Link to comment
Rhine-and-Roses
We stayed here in August of 2005 and were very happy. We used reward points. They gave us a huge suite, it was probably 800 sq feet. They also greeted us with a free bottle of wine and ice cream for my daughter. The suite was beautiful, with a living area, dining area, separate bedroom, walk-in closet, large bathroom. They also included breakfast, which was a typical affair. Plenty of variety and personable wait staff. Everyone at the hotel was cordial and helpful. We used the hotel parking as it was secured. There was a lovely park for the kids in between the hotel and UBahn stop. We paid a lot for WiFi, but I do not remember exactly how much. There was a free ice machine on the floor- something I don't see often in Europe. Link to comment
thais fernandes
Good to know that we can park for free ouside the hotel. This is exactly what I need. Link to comment
XT600
low PL-NYOP Rate, free parking (if you're lucky) and the vicinity to the U-Bahn Station "Nordfriedhof" are the only good things about this place which somehow tries to follow the American hotel idea of the Marriott brothers: free coffee in Lobby and (mobile) A/C to fulfil the 4* requirements somehow ....However the rooms are worn and outdated (from 90ies), tube-TV, the carpet is rotten in rooms and aisle, tiles in bathroom come off.
