mallot
I'm new to Priceline and Hotwire and am looking for some advice. I'll be traveling to Las Vegas from Seattle on 3/8 and returning 3/11. Since I'm within the 2 week window, prices have doubled since last week. What are the odds of me getting a reasonable/standard RT airfare (~$200) using Priceline or Hotwire? On average, would it be better for me to wait until the last minute or try now? Thanks so much for your help. Link to comment
thereuare
Deals on airfare have been far and few between, so i wouldn't exactly count on the above working out for you... but it doesn't hurt to try; and i would try now so you can make alternate plans (or if successful, plan your hotel accomodations). What is your maximum bid amount? Keep in mind that taxes and fees are in addition to your bid amount, so if you'd like us to suggest a bidding strategy you'll need to subtract the amount of taxes from the total amount you're willing to pay for this ticket.. dahammer
you have a 3 day trip, suppose you bid on Priceline and got an outbound flight on 3/8 that arrives in Vegas at 11:00 pm and a return flight on 3/11 is at 6:00 AM?? You can't pick your flight departure times. Link to comment
mallot
Thanks for your response. I'd be willing to bid $250 for the RT air but am not holding my breath since $350-$450 is the best I can find the airfare checker. Link to comment
thereuare
That's $250 plus taxes... correct?... and i assume you're ok with the possibility of bad flight times shortening your trip as dahammer points out above?
