newbie..cheap : montreal, can to almost anywhere!

Hello everybody,

I wondered around a bit in the forum and i did not find what i need... hope someone could help me

If fact , i'm in holiday the week of March 3rd and i want to go away. I don't really care where i end up to but i want to find a really cheap airticket deal (outside us and can).

All the info i found or site i checked need a destination to find a deal.

Is there a way to find a deal only based the fare (like less than 500$???).

But to be honest these systems just don't work very well. They see and display fares for a route. But when you click on a fare to fare may already be sold out. Very agrivating which is why most web sites have dropped these kind of searches.
