Before I bought this on Hotwire I bid $40 for a 2* on Priceline and was rejected.

The lobby and rooms at the Holiday Inn Express were good but the hotel is on the fringe of downtown San Bernardino and not a good area. Most of the hotels in San Bernardino are on Hospitality Lane which is a better neighborhood with restaurants and shopping nearby. A lot of the stores near Holiday Inn Express were boarded up or had metal gates over the windows. It didn't feel like a safe area to me and I wouldn't want to stay there again.
