LglBlonde Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Help! I've bid twice: all rejected: Most recent:1/25FS 21SUV 25other actt:FS 23SUV 26MV 28Standard 23Premuim 27All rejected.Hotwire is running: FS 31.95; Premimum 36.95; MV 40.95; SUV 46.95I think our preference is now the Minivan w/ 3 adults + a baby. Priceline's nonbid site shows MV for $73/day as the cheapest! Even a compact is $44; full $53; premium $71!Do you think I should give up bidding and just hop on the HW deal in case their prices go up?PS I've also checked out Avis, Budget, National, etc. w/ various codes and nothing competes with HW.
thereuare Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Your highest bid for a minivan so far was only $28, which is a bit far from the $41 on HOTWIRE... it would be better if you could bid for a MiniVan at ~$35 or so before taking the Hotwire offer. But you have to weigh the potential $15 savings (if a $35 bid were to be accepted) vs. the rate going up on HOTWIRE.... not sure when your last bids were place (and when you're able to bid again) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
