skunky Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Nice quiet hotel. Slightly older interiors. Very clean about 18"x25". Well lighted bathrooms. Free computer access and printers in lobby. Newly renovated pool area. Not much else service wise but with the Prudential Center Mall next door and lots of restaurants, pubs and starbucks nearby you don't really need it. Great views all around. I was happy enough here to extend my stay and would not mind if I got it again. :)
vayla Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 We must have got lucky because we got a beautiful room on the 24th floor (2418) on 6/8 and 6/9. It looked very new and it was spotlessly clean. Great view and huge flat screen HD TV. We are not big TV viewers but the screen was mesmerizing. It was extremely quiet even though we were close to the elevator. There was a $10 charge for internet access in the room, so we went across the street to the lobby of the Sheraton. There they give you two hours free if you ask for a password from the concierge. I didn't notice that there was free computer access in the Hilton lobby, like Skunky reported (but did not think to look). The Sheraton lobby was very large and nice. It seems the 24th floor is a HiltonHonors floor. We do have a card, but did not show it or ask for any upgrades. We checked in around 11:30 at night and had to wait to check in! They said it was quite busy every Friday night. We were given the option of a king bed or two doubles. We took the king. The room was larger than we expected and the pillows were great. The bed was very comfortable. It felt more like a nice 4*.We parked our car with relatives, but checked on the price at the hotel and it is currently $35/night for valet parking. Closest T stop seems to be the Convention Center stop. Had two great breakfasts on nearby Newbury Street, one at "Stephanie's" (corner Newbury/Exeter) and one at a bookstore/cafe called "Trident Booksellers" (338 Newbury).
