I'm trying to book 2 rooms for March 24th-25th for a buddies bachlor party. I've never been to AC and I'm getting confused on where we need to stay to be walking distance to the boardwalk/casinos. We are trying to spend less than $400 on both rooms. If possible we would get one room and sleep on the floor but it doesn't look like they allow 6 people to 1 room (do they??). Where should I start looking?

what are your actual dates? Is this one or two nights? Priceline only guarantees double occupancy, so 6 is a bit of a stretch. Besides, if you bid on Priceline, you may end up getting the Sheraton Convention center, which is a few blocks from the Boardwalk and you would probably have to take a taxi or two.

If you search HOTWIRE there is a 3.5* for $155/nite (i'm not sure of this hotel's ID)... but in Atlantic City you really want to be directly on the Boardwalk (imo) but don't know if that will be in your budget for a one nite Saturday stay.

You can try taking the above or try to beat that on priceline. Do note that HOTWIRE will enable you to search for up to quad occupancy while priceline will only guarantee double occupancy... but not sure if that will be an issue for you since you're willing to allow some to sleep on the floor.

If you do book the above please use our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase and let us know what you end up with. If you want to try priceline let us know your maximum bid and we'll advise on how to proceed.

What does quad occupancy versus double occupancy mean? I'm guessing the number that it actually sleeps? Also, I see that the search was for 2 rooms, 3 adults, does that mean, 3 per room or 3 total? Last question, I see 3* condo for $159. They look like a much better value considering the space issue. Any catches on the condos?

Sorry if these questions seem stupid. I'm pretty new at this stuff.

Occupancy is how many are authorized to sleep in the room.

The 'problem' with Condo properties is that they're "all over the map" quality-wise... some may be a hidden gem while others may be somewhat less than desirable (as well, most units are individually owned, so there is a lot of variance between rooms within the same property). They're usually small and independently owned, so if you do have a problem, there may not be a 'chain of command' to complain to (ie- have a problem with a Hilton, Hyatt, etc, there is some accountability and a place to look to for a resolution... not necessarily so with a condo property).

When you search HOTWIRE it is the total number of occupants in all the rooms... so you would need to search for '2 rooms / 6 adults' if you were going to declare everyone in the room.
