donvic Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 hi all, newbe hear. nice to be a part of the forum.have a question about priceline bidding.if you bid for a two star hotel: can your bid beaccepted for a 3 star hotel(even if you do not markanything but 2 star)?though not typical i find i like the 2 star much better thanthe 3 star hotel. and am wondering if i can safely bid forthe 2 star.any ideas? thanks all.best, donvic
dahammer Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 When you select a star rating, this is the minimum that you are willing to accept, so you could be upgraded to a 2.5* or 3* Hotel.
donvic Posted November 3, 2006 Author Report Posted November 3, 2006 dahammer and all, thanks for info.best, donvic

thereuare Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 This property has not yet been identified, but the Flamingo has been seen with more amenities than just the above, so i don't think that is a likely outcome. What is your nightly budget for this stay? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
donvic Posted January 4, 2007 Author Report Posted January 4, 2007 thereuare,of course, your correct.can not find any 3 star hotels matchingthese 7 aminities.this offering was $66.....which is about at thetop of our price range.thanks again for all your help.has been fun.donvic
thereuare Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 Maybe the Imperial Palace? You could also consider the Tropicana within your price range... however, bumping your budget a little to another $10/nite to the Excalibur would give you your best bet (there is no booking fee when using this Excalibur link, so their $81/nite rate is only ~$10 more than HOTWIRE's $66/nite when looking at actual 'total cost')If you do take the Hotwire offer please use this HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase (otherwise use the other link(s) in this thread).Let us know what you ultimately decide to do or if we can be of further help. thereuare Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 NO!!!You must click our HOTWIRE link before each visit to their site... not bookmarking the ensuing hotwire page. You can bookmark our support page or just bookmark BetterBidding itself and start your searches using our search box on the top left corner of the page (or click the HOTWIRE logo within that search box).Did you make a decision for the above Las Vegas stay? donvic Posted January 22, 2007 Author Report Posted January 22, 2007 thereuare, here is most recent info on feb5-8 center strip......3 stars for $47/nightHotel Amenities CasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessSpa Serviceshard to figure out. only 3 stars we have listed is flamingo.....however our listing has golf included in amenities. thereuare, do you still think it could be flamingo???thanks again, donvic
thereuare Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 I don't think it's the Flamingo...but note that you can now book the Exaclibur for $51/nite (and would be cheaper than the HOTWIRE hotel above after their fee is included). If you can expand your budget the Monte Carlo is available for $73 and gives you a nice jump in quality. Please use the links in this post to begin any purchases you make (or our HOTWIRE link if you go that route)Let us know what you decide of if we can help further. donvic Posted January 23, 2007 Author Report Posted January 23, 2007 thereuare,hi. yes those are very good prices.really liked the hotwire listing....3 stars for $47/night and the location is where wewanted to be....center strip.3 stars center is usully imerial palace....at that price.however do not even see ip listed as a hotwire hotel.thanks for all your help, donvic
thereuare Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 3 stars center is usully imerial palace....at that price.however do not even see ip listed as a hotwire hotelAbove i guessed that this might be the Imperial Palace, but this property has never been reported on the board as a 'win' (which is why it doesn't appear in the Hotwire Hotel List)... so not sure where you're getting your info that the above is usually the IP.If you do go for it you can be the first to report it to the board... please use this HOTWIRE link if you do.
