jenndon Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 I was hoping to get some of these phenomenal deals that you sometimes get this time of year, but I'm happy.Started bidding on 4* MTW, MTE, UM, up to 185 rejected. Ended up adding MTS and still rejected up to 190.Then I bid on 3*, starting at 135, same zones, and finally got this win at $180. This was all done today, a week in advance.Used Savings Barn link
thereuare Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Thanks for sharing your win.The hotel's website shows a "cozy queen" room for $129 on this nite and a "superior king" for $159... i would try to contact priceline for a refund of the difference based upon their "best rate guarantee".Good Luck... let us know how it goes if you try.Enjoy yoru stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jenndon Posted December 21, 2006 Author Report Posted December 21, 2006 Thanks for pointing that out. I am actually on hold with priceline right now, because I saw that rate advertised in someone's review on tripadvisor, for their stay earlier this week.If that's the case, that will really be a steal. The hotel looks fine, and I got the opportunity to bid on other hotels that we've won in the area through Priceline and I never would have seen a rate that low if I hadn't have won it.This is my first chance to use the Best Price Guarantee, and it seems like a win-win situation.I got a refund of $69.15 (they take into consideration total price of the hotel with taxes, which would have been around $150, and my total Priceline rate, which would have been $219).
