I've been trying a similar strategy for the past couple days with no luck. The $60 in MP/Loop finally took tonight. Have stayed at this hotel 3 times ... pretty standard rooms with perfect location and beautiful views if you can sweet talk the check-in people for a higher floor. It helps to be a Gold Passport member. I've been successful at this hotel before with a bid as low as $43 last March and as high as $75 last December.
