Closed my browser and bid $65 in the Saddle Brook zone and received a counteroffer to raise my bid by $17. Closed my browser and rebid $71 by adding Ft. Lee and was successful. Your Offer Price: $71.00Taxes & Service Fees:$18.32Total Charges: $89.32this property has made some minor cosmetic improvements since my last stay, I think you might get a better deal on HOTWIRE as this is the first time I've won this property on Priceline. The online rate through Radisson was $179 for a room with a Sleep Number Bed :) I made my bids through savingsbarn.com.

dahammer Posted December 1, 2006 Author Report Posted December 1, 2006 How was the sleep number bed?I wasn't really that impressed, I would much rather have a Westin/Sheraton mattress or some of the new ones that I've had at Marriott Courtyards. However, if you and your spouse differ on mattress firmness, I think its something worth trying out. If you can both agree on the same level of firmness, then I would just buy a conventional mattress. For hotels, it is a great selling feature because if a hotel has an 80% occupancy level and can charge an extra $10 per night (as does the Radisson) it will generate an extra $3000 per year per room in revenue. The mattress has two inflatable compartments framed by a soft material, to increase the firmness, just push a control button and inflate the bag.
