bigwawao Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 Dear fellow hotwire bidders, I just got a room for Philadelphia 3 star at the city line. After researching amenities and other stuff, I decided to get it. I was right. It is the Holiday Inn City Line. Normal price for my check in date is $ 139 on the Holiday Inn website. I got it for $59, the currently advertised price. Hope this helps our forum members.
dahammer Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 Welcome to BetterBidding and thanks for your post. Can you please list your dates of travel and the amenities shown? You can easily get this information by going to the "my trips" section of HOTWIRE. Listing this information will help others on the board and it appears that this is a new hotel for the lists.
bigwawao Posted November 26, 2006 Author Report Posted November 26, 2006 dear dahammner, I haven't left yet! I booked for April 4-7 2007 (i want to go see king tut's exhibit at the franklin institute).I won the bid about two weeks ago so this 3 * at hotwire's website is still Holiday Inn. The moderator did mention, however, that hotwire does change the geographic boundaries, the star rating, etc. of its hotels. As per the hotwire website, they have a fitness room, laundry facilities, golf nearby, pool, business center, and high speed internet access. When I was looking over the different hotels in the said geographic area cordoned off by hotwire, only Holiday inn stood out. I found from their official website that they have an indoor pool and that parking is free. When I come back next year, I will post something about Holiday Inn.
dahammer Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 thanks for the follow up! I think that you're right, there are not too many other 3*'s in the City Line zone. You will probably need a car to get to the Franklin Institute as the public transportation options are limited to a few bus routes that pass the Holiday Inn.
thereuare Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Can you please double check and confirm that a Restaurant icon is also included in addition to the amenities that you listed above. You can still view the amenities by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
