whenpigsfly
When you see a likley identified hotel on Hotwire and you want to bid on priceline for that hotel/zone what percentage do you find of Hotwires price does it usually take to get an accepted bid?(I also know there are no guarantees you could be wrong)Is there a usual formula? or does it vary. What are your experiences? Thanks for your thoughts. Link to comment
runNgun
my experience is from 10% to 30% normally but sometimes up to 40%. Average is 20-25%. the 10% is usually when I am booking 2 months or more in advance. Link to comment
thereuare
It's not that simple... which is why we employ full bidding strategies on the board based upon a variety of factors... much more than simply HOTWIRE's price. In some zones you can do 40% or more off of hotwire's price... in other zones that would simply be a waste of time. Try less of a discount and you could easily overbid.Best bet is to post on the board the details of your stay and ask for assistance from those who may know the area better and will provide info for your particular stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
