that's a great price for this hotel. We just stayed there this past weekend for $35/nite. It was our 2nd time there. The beds are really small, but the rooms are nice and the hotel is great. staff is very friendly and the pool is awesome. Self park is a bit of a walk, so going out to eat takes effort. we ordered room service for 2 adults and 2 kids and it cost us twice the price of the room!

Keep in mind that the pool at the Lodge will be closed the week of Thanskgiving - this is the message that comes up if you try to book dates in that range:

"November 19, 2006 - November 26, 2007 The hotel pool will be closed for maintenance beginning Sunday, Nov 19 to Sunday, Nov 26th and will not reopen until Monday, Nov 27th. December 18, 2006 - February 15, 2007 The hotel will be undergoing renovation of the guestroom bathrooms. "

Not sure what's wrong with their bathrooms - my guess is they are changing out the tubs or the tile - the vanities are granite and new and quite lovely.

I'm glad the pool isn't an issue for you. Hope you enjoy your stay - it's one of my favorite hotels (great comfy beds and really wonderful staff. They treat me like gold even though I always book thru Hotwire and Priceline. Ask for a room on the top floor with a forest view - they're nice and quiet!) One more tip, if you want to use the workout facility, apply for a Hyatt Gold Passport card online before you stay. Otherwise you have to pay a daily fee.

One question for you. I've reserved three rooms, and want to make sure they all have 2 double beds, non-smoking. Can/should I call a week ahead of time and ask about that?
