pleasehelp
Please help me get a decent hotel near the Convention center in Anaheim for January 16-22. There IS a convention going on. Previous years I was able to get Hyatt for about $60, but I am concerned that it's not going to happen this year. The Hyatt website shows the rates of $189-215. Hotwire offers a 2-star hotel for $55 (possibly Vagabond?), and $66 for 2.5-star hotel (possibly Holiday Inn Express Placentia, which is a drive and I would prefer not to rent a car). So far my cheapest option was to make a reservation at the Anaheim at the Park Travelodge website for $89, but I am afraid that it's a pit, although the location is great. Please help me with a strategy how to get a decent hotel at a decent price during a convention in Anaheim for those dates. Thank you in advance! Link to comment
mikeemouse
Why not try for a 3* for 40 bucks for those dates?I've often got 3's for 40 bucks regardless of the date or time of year. It's worth a try. Link to comment
dahammer
what is the rate through the convention center? You really can't bid for a specific property so maybe Priceline is not the way to go. There are 9 zones in the Aneheim area, which zone is the convention center located? Link to comment
mikeemouse
I believe the convention center is in the Disneyland area. Link to comment
Lollipop's Mom
Have you tried going directly to the Desert Inn & Suites own page? They have $59 rates on there usually, or a tad higher in busy season. I have stayed there and it isn't fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. Also, right near the conv. center is the Clarion, which is a full service hotel and sometimes AAA rates of $78 pop up there.
