Looking to find a room at the lowest price for 2 adults for a 4* Strip hotel for the Memorial Day weekend (May 25 - May 28).

I looked up Hotwire. It seems they have the Luxor for $173 per night, and the Venetian for $332. There is another North Strip 4* hotel listed for $181, but I could not identify it (casino, fitness, pool, restaurant, business, hi-speed internet, golf, tennis, spa).

Where do I go next? Tips, pointers? How different would a 4* be from a 3.5*?

Thanks in advance.

how about the 4*Westin Csuarina through EasyClickTravel Travel? This property is shown as "off the record" and although it is not exactly on the strip, it is cancellable up to 72 hours before check in.

Please list the amenities and rate for the 3.5* property and we will try to identify it for you

The Westin above is $126/nite.

Does this work for your plans?

I think it's a little early to be locking in a non-refundable rate for Vegas (where rates change often)... but i would lock-in a fully cancellable back-up!

The 4* on HOTWIRE seems to match the Aladdin so that would be our best guess. If you like this option i'd sooner book it HERE for $190/nite. Since there's no booking fee it's only about $3 more per nite, but it's cancellable which leaves your options open as your dates draw near.

I am not planning on renting a car, so am looking for something which would allow access to the entire strip without much walking. I don't think the Westin would fit in this category, would it?

When should I start searching for non-refundable rates?

You wouldn't need a car if you stay at the Westin, it's certainly walkable to the strip... the question is more so if you want to walk out of your hotel and be directly on the strip or if you mind a short walk from your hotel to the strip.

You should always be looking at non-refundable rates, but you need to know your next best option so if you can properly evaluate any non-refundable rates that come down the road.
