gtee00
Hi,I would like to book 3 hotel rooms for my family in Atlanta a couple of weeks before christmas. However, I'd these rooms need to be for differing lengths of stay (1 for 3 nights, another for 4, and the 3rd for 5). Could someone tell me how this could be achieved on priceline. Priceline FAQ says that I may be able to extend my hotel stay, but it is conditional on whether the hotel i get has agreed to additional nights. Also, priceline FAQ says that additional nights cannot be added for reservations older than 30 days. Please suggest. Thanks,-hdt Link to comment
bbbb
If you all need to be at the same hotel using PL could be a risk for you. You could win a hotel that only gave PL inventory for 1 or 2 rooms. Then the other two rooms would be at another hotel or maybe even two other hotels. Link to comment
GM Mike
As long as everyone is arriving on the same day, you may want to consider bidding for 3 rooms for 5 nights. It may be cheaper for you to not use those 3 extra room nights than to buy at full price. If people are arriving on different nights, then this probably won't work. (The shorter reservations would no-show and be cancelled without refund.)It'll be important for you to figure out what your full priced, cancellable backup plan is, then you can bid accordingly.(Another thought is to check HOTWIRE and see if the same hotel appears to come up for all 3 reservations. Then there's a better chance you'll be getting the same hotel. Tho there is the risk that buying one of the rooms removes the inventory when you try to buy the others...) Link to comment
WillTravel
You could use Priceline for the nights you will all be there together. Then for the days only some of you will be there, book the hotel conventionally. You'll have to check in and out of your hotel room, but it's quite likely the hotel will let you stay in the same room. thereuare
My order of preference:1) HOTWIRE (still a slight risk even if amenities match up)2) see if EasyClickTravel has anything to offer3) book longest length of stay and then book the balance conventionally (slight risk hotel could be sold-out when trying to book conventionally... or doesn't allow Saturday check-in... or requires minimum stay)There may be some other options... but what are the date(s) of your stay? Also note, you can't extend your stay (when offered) for fewer than the number of rooms you booked. If you book 3 rooms, you can't extend the stay for only one (or two) of them. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
