Hotwire Hotel: 4* San Diego (Coastal) Hyatt Regency La Jolla

Hi, I just stumbled upon this webiste and it seems very nifty. I am looking for a 4* hotel for 10/13/06 and checking out 10/14/06 in the area of La Jolla but I guess the most closest region is the San Diego Costal.

I have never tried the bidding thing, if anyone can explain how it works it would be great. Like if I bid $100 and it doesn't go through, do they tell me immediately or does it take time?

I am looking to spend around $100, but if I have to am willing to spend up to $160.

also on hotwire there was a hotel for the San Diego Costal for $126+tax and the descriptions were:

Pool, Resturaunt, Business Center, Tennis, High Speed Internet Access, so I checked what matched with it and think it is the Hyatt in La Jolla.

OK I just went with Hotwire and it turned out to be Hyatt Regency, which is one of the hotels I've been dying to go to since I lived in La Jolla for 3 years. 126+tax = $146 as oppose to $220, I'm more than ecstatic about finding this forum! Thanks for all the archived info! :)
