friend Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Great deal for this hotel with airport shuttle, pool, business center laundry facilities, high-speed internet access, kitchenette. Note that there is an Extended Stay America further south in Anchorage but that is a different hotel. The going rate on Extended Stay's website is over $200.The total including taxes and hotwire's fee is $63.33.This appears to be the first hotel in Alaska to be posted using Hotwire.

friend Posted October 2, 2006 Author Report Posted October 2, 2006 There is a suite icon and the property is the one on 8th Avenue. It is also marked as "best value."Booked another room for July 1 for the same price.John
LoneStar Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Price now showing at $37 for next July (can the previous poster get a refund for the difference from Hotwire?). A super almost unbelievable deal, given how much Alaska hotels generally go for. This used to be the Aspen Hotel Anchorage, at which time Frommers raved about it, but the trip advisor reviews are mixed.
friend Posted October 17, 2006 Author Report Posted October 17, 2006 I noticed the price drop a week or two ago. Unfortunately once you buy from Hotwire I think you are stuck. But fortunately even $50 is a great deal so I can't complain too much.
LoneStar Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 I booked several different days in July and August for $36 on multi-night stays and $37 for single night stays. Every day I checked those months was available. The only trick is that your stay can't be more than 6 nights in one reservation (strange for an "extended stay" property!).
