I should have stayed with the original bid of $55 that got me the room for the first two nights, but saw that rates in the whole area through non-opaque suppliers were pretty high, including the Westin's own website where the lowest rate on page 1 of available rooms was $249. So, I planned on starting at $60 and increase in $5 increments using re-bid zones just to see how far it would take, but got hit right away at $60. I then went back to the Westin site, and saw that page 2 had a special rate of $149 that had something to do with reconnecting with your children. Whatever it was, the end result still was getting a room that inclusive of taxes was less than the lowest rack rate without taxes. :)

I don't understand some websites where they don't list the offerings in rate order by default. With all the starwood sites, there is a button at the top to sort the rates from low to high.
