bid on 2* for $30.00

rebid on 1* knowing no 1*'s in Newark,

bid $32.00 and won Fairfield Inn by Marriott for $32.00 plus taxes and fees of $10.24

for total of $42.24

there have been no 1*'s reported yet....you could always be the first! This strategy worked this time, but just because the list does not show any 1* properties, does not mean that they don't exist......even Priceline's "Shop and Compare" site shows a 1* Super 8 in Newark.... a great win at any rate

Next time try $41 on $2.5 and you will get this wonderful Hilton Newark ...

On the other hand, Fairfield has nice complimentary breakfast and can walk to Borders, so it is not bad either ...
