Pete_tec Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Hi All-Looking to go skiing around xmas time. It seems like there is only one resort in vail, the marriott. The hotel website is quoting $309 (Dec-21-28). Is it even going to be possible to get a good deal? I know how jammed it gets there. Just not a lot of posts for Vail around ski season. Thanks for you input :)
lowballer Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 I just looked up "peak demand" in the dictionary. It says, "Vail over Christmas".Only way PL will work is if there are one or two relatively low nights based on the way the calendar falls and/or inventory is released at the last minute. The way people save money when visiting Vail is by staying around Dillon, but even that won't be cheap. If you want Vail for a week over Xmas you may want to look at a condo. The smaller ones go for about what the Marriott is quoting, or a bit less (I just checked).

Pete_tec Posted August 7, 2006 Author Report Posted August 7, 2006 Haha. Had no idea this was a comedy site.Yah I have done the condo scene many times. Was just searching for an alternative. I guess I can just start bidding and see where (if anywhere) it leads.
