pmerchant73
I started bidding at $105 in the Strip area for 5* only but was rejected with counteroffer of $146. Bid up in ~$5 intervals adding different zones and was accepted at $134. Last rejected amount was $129. Immediately tried to add a night (08/13) as check-out is at 11am and our flight out isn't until that evening, but that was rejected with a counteroffer of $380 (ouch - Saturday night). We will just try to find something to do with our bags until check-in at the airport that night - any ideas?Total for 4 nights - $536 + 69.45 taxes and service fees = $605.45.This is my first hotel booked with Priceline. Thanks so much to the forum for all of the great bidding information.Incidentally, how would you handle showing up for this room with three small kids in tow? I'll leave the kids with my wife while I check in. We are in town for a wedding so I am planning to either just mention that and ask about an upgrade or try the $20 tip trick. Thanks for any advice. thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding and thank you for sharing your win with the board. The hotel should be able to hold your bags until you need to head to the airport. An upgrade to a room with two beds, if available, usually runs $15/day. They may try to charger per person, so i wouldn't let on that you have three additional guest in the room... just tell them one kid or that you and your spouse/partner like to sleep in separate beds (because one of you snores or tosses/turns a lot during the nite).Enjoy your stay. Blueskies
There is a sofa bed in the room so depending on how little the kids are you may manage with the king and sofa bed. Link to comment
slojane
I just got back from the Venetian yesterday. After getting the room on Priceline, I called the hotel directly and requested 2 queen beds with no problem. As there were four of us, I had the others stay away from the desk while I checked in. No need for the $20 trick, our room in the Venetian Tower was lovely. The maids always honored our requests of extra towels when they saw the cash in our hands! :) Link to comment
