Lowest expedi a, hotel.com and priceline.com was 249/night b/4 tax (for a Guestroom).

Lowest on Hyatt website was also 249 (Guestroom).

Interestingly, Hyatt quoted me 220 over the phone.

Hotwire shows the "retail rate" for this hotel at $170. Does this rate mean anything? It threw me, because the listing on this forum clearly pointed to the Islandia. However, a 179 retail is far below the quotes elsewhere.

Tripadvisor has polarized opinions on this hotel. Over the phone, they tell me that the remodel is almost done and that construction continues on some balconies in the tower only. We'll see...

The 'retail prices' suggested by HOTWIRE can not be relied upon... lots of users have thought a 'hotel "had to be" a certain property based upon the price but received something different. Hotwire's response is that the price shown is not for that specific property but for that star category in that zone. Glad this board kept you on track :)
