Matthew Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 This was by far the hardest bidding experience I've had on Priceline. Unfortunately I was booking last second [6/25] and the taste of Chicago was going on. I had tried a couple days before to get a hotel downtown, but I ran out of options and then when I got a hotel to accept, it said I couldn't get it since I tried too many times. Of course after the 24-hour time limit, I tried the same bid, even raised it and it failed again. So I got desperate and added tons of other Chicago areas. O'Hare did it and I didn't have to stay at a crappy 1* hotel. Anyway, the Hyatt Rosemont is very nice, the room was large with a big bathroom, central air, very comfortable king bed, and quite quiet although it's next to O'Hare. My only complaints were housekeeping didn't refresh the room, although when I left for the day about 1 pm I saw them in the room next to mine and I took the DND sign down. Also, the hotel staff didn't seem trained, couldn't understand my requests, was unwilling to call me when they had a room available - numerous issues, but I think it's a new hotel from the looks of it. It was also a little far away from the blue L line, and then when I asked the staff about the bus, they failed to tell me the 3 blocks was about a mile and at that point it's just easier to walk to the Rosemont CTA station. Basically I got on the bus and by the time I was done paying the fare [less than a block], I was at the station. It's very important to have well educated staff! I was also disappointed there was no continental breakfast and the Internet was an extra charge. Regardless, I'm pretty happy with my stay.Congratulations, you got your price of $55 for a hotel room, and we've upgraded your hotel quality level to a 3-star hotel!Hyatt RosemontO'hare Airport (ORD)6350 N River Road Rosemont, Illinois 60018 847-518-1234 Check-In Date: Fri, Jun 30, 2006 Check-In Time: After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: Sun, Jul 2, 2006 Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM Your Offer Price: $55.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $110.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $24.83 Total Charges: $134.83 @Matthew
