Governator Posted June 30, 2006 Report Posted June 30, 2006 Looking for one night 7/9, Westshore-TPA area. The hotel in question comes up for $79 and shows as 3.5*, Customer Favorite with Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center and Tennis Nearby. From the hotel list its similar to the Quorum but not identical. If it is the Quorum, that would be great, if it's something like the Doubletree (formerly a 3.5*) I wouldn't be so thrilled.
ufjoe21 Posted June 30, 2006 Report Posted June 30, 2006 I'm sure the hotel didn't list all of it's amenities to hotwire:I want to scream Quorum, but it's not a matchI don't see how a 3.5* hotel couldn't have an airport shuttle or high-speed internet access.......I've looked at the DoubleTree,Marriott,Hilton,Quorum and they all have shuttles and high-speed access......so I really think Hotwire should correctly list the available amenities...but they don'tbut I think the customer-favorite has gotta push me to bet it's the Quorum
Governator Posted July 2, 2006 Author Report Posted July 2, 2006 Started at $60, offered an immediate buy for $17 more. I declined and re-bid up till getting accepted at $70.
ufjoe21 Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 Congratulations, but I was dying to see if your Hotwire hotel in question was in fact the quorum or not! :)
thereuare Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 Congratulations on your win... nicely done.Do you recall the amount of your previously rejected bid? Thanks, have a great stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Governator Posted July 2, 2006 Author Report Posted July 2, 2006 I used all the rebids, $60, $62, $64, $66, $68 then hit at $70. Happier with this than the Quorum!
ufjoe21 Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 yes, much better deal with the hotel quality and the priceI was just dying to know because I normally am terrible at guessing the Hotwire hotels and this is an area I like very much so I was just curious as george to know what hotel it isbut the hyatt is very nice, on the upper side of 4* so you'll be very pleased
