gingerbee Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 Bid Resort and 4* at $65...unsuccesful.Bid 3* at $65...got Kimpton's Summit Lodge and Spa. Perhaps not the cleverest bidding, but was in a hurry. And from the online reservation it looks like I didn't pay much more than Priceline did for the room. Prices converted from UK pounds.
grram1 Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 You actually did very well :)! We stayed at the Summit lodge last summer (07/20-07/22) with a winning bid of $85/night (had been rejected up to $75). We were very happy with the property and the experience. Rooms are nicely decorated and are comfortable. They are a little on the small side, but I only think this would be an issue in the winter when you may be needing a place to store extra winter gear (skis and the like). Parking was also a little cramped, but the staff could not have been more delightful (we could not navigate our Suburban in the garage without hanging way out of our spot, the staff allowed us to park in the hotel's loading dock just outside of the entrance). It's a beautiful hotel, nice location (directly across from the market place) and is an enjoyable 15 minute walk to the slopes (we made the walk easily with our 7, 5 and 3 year olds). Have a great trip!
