  1. 5* bid failed in this zone at $72. 4* failed at $64. Possibly raised it too high to $70, but seems like a good deal. The mandatory $15 a night "hotel fee" is very annoying though.
  2. Was rejected at $77 for SOMA and Financial District-Embarcadero. Added a free zone and was successful at the Hyatt Regency at $79.
  3. Thank you for these. With a 9 night stay coming up at the Westin, I'm really looking forward to exploring New Jersey.
  4. 4* Newark (Jersey City) Westin $133 ... 7/5/11-7/11/11
  5. I had bid for 3 nights, 7/3/11-7/6/11 up to $115, but saw that normal rates for 7/5/11 were high so changed to 2 nights. Got the Westin Jersey City at $95.
  6. My winning bid was on 6/13/11. I ideally wanted a hotel within walking distance of Penn Station, but prices seemed high on my initial bidding attempts, so I also bid Jersey City (4* up to
  7. Today I bid up to $64 for a 3.5*, using a couple of freebid zones - no luck. I then bid $56 for a 3* and was given the Sheraton.
  8. This is for the second half of my stay, having won the Hyatt for $99 (see previous post). I was happy to bid higher, in the hope of getting the Hyatt again, but Le Westin has free wifi so that'll save a bit. It looks fine from a brief glance at the reviews. Clearly an expensive weekend.
  9. Had tried bidding for 4 nights (6/29-7/1) up to $105, hoping for the Hyatt. Saw that rates were higher at the weekend in most downtown hotels (Canada Day), so split the bid. I'm very pleased to return to this hotel after a previous visit to the Jazz Festival I've got the Le Westin for my second two nights - will post separately. (I'm sorry, I posted all the details on the main subject line, and am not sure how to fix it. Stay was for 6/29/11-7/1/11, and winning bid was $99)
  10. For four nights, yes. Travelling over from the UK, via New York.
  11. Ditto Travelgirl22. I was given a quiet executive floor room for my priceline win a few years ago, and had a great time there. They laid on special viewing events for the jazz festival, and I met a lot of the artists travelling up and down in the lifts. I thought it was a great hotel and I'm hoping for it on my next bid.
  12. Bid Resort and 4* at $65...unsuccesful. Bid 3* at $65...got Kimpton's Summit Lodge and Spa. Perhaps not the cleverest bidding, but was in a hurry. And from the online reservation it looks like I didn't pay much more than Priceline did for the room. Prices converted from UK pounds.
  13. This was a tough one, bid yesterday using lots of free rebids. The last unsuccesful bid on 4* DT was $110, was offered it at $22 more, got it on $116. DT was unsuccesful at $83 for 3*. YVR was unsuccesful at $77 for 3*. Coquitlam/Burnaby unsuccesful for 3* at $75. Prices converted from UK pounds.
  14. Bid yesterday. $92 was rejected, with a free rebid offer of $22. With a free rebid I got the Hyatt for $98. Also bid unsuccesfully up to $74 for a 3* DT, and $55 for a 3* in Burnaby/Coquitlam. Prices converted from UK pounds.
  15. Thankyou. Yes, it does look like a match. Based on tripadvisor reviews I think I'll skip it unless I get really stuck.
