Pollack Posted June 18, 2006 Report Posted June 18, 2006 Started low with MTE using my free zones and got nothing. Switched to MTW with the same luck. Combined the two raising the price and got the Barclay. Looks like a nice property.Of course, this was all done thru www.savingsbarn.com
thereuare Posted June 18, 2006 Report Posted June 18, 2006 Congratulations on your win.Traditional rates are over $300/nite for these dates so looks like you got a pretty good deal.Do you recall the amount of your previously rejected bid? (when you bid the MTE zone on its own)Have a great time in NYC and thank you for starting your bids with the PRICELINE links at SavingsBarn.com Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
powerplantop Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 The Barclay is a very nice property. As with all NYC hotels it easy to spend a lot more $ for other stuff. Parking at the Barclay is $45/night. Room service prices shocked even me. They have a breakfast Buffett expensive but very good. For me breakfast at the hotel is worth the price. But due to location you have other great low cost choices to start the day.
