AmandaM
Red Lion is only 2* at Priceline and TripAdvisor customer ratings, and is $89 at retail. Priceline reviews:"Room very dirty, carpet very dirty."Louis from Newark, CA | March 17 2006 "Rate on 1 to 10, 10 being highest, rates a 3."Ellis from Plantersville, MS | February 16 2006 "Hotel was under construction and was low in attendance which we felt was to our advantage. Staff was helpful and considerate."Kevin from Oceanside, CA | December 26 2005 "This was awful. The bathroom light and TV remote didn't work. When I complained, they fixed the light, but the remote was replaced with another one that also didn't work. The room heater would only heat the room to about 65 star, so it was cold. There was construction going on throughout the hotel, the snack machines are either under stocked or partially working. The restaurant is a joke. This should not be a two star hotel."Carrie from Griffin, GA | December 08 2005 This Hotel features the following amenities: Restaurant(s)Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary. thereuare
Two opaque purchases and you're unhappy with both...I think you need ask for help before you make another purchase or do a bit more research so that you're not going into it totally blind. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
AmandaM
Yes -- despite all my reading here, I didn't really have a clue how things worked. The 1/2* threw me off, since the non-opaque site listed things as 2*. A friend told me about this site and said that it made opaque bidding transparent, but I think I'll avoid Priceline and Hotwire in the future. Link to comment
