I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to a good bidding strategy or any good hotel rates for 9/2 to 9/4...I would like to stay on the strip and would prefer a four star hotel or the venetian. I would like to stay as close to $100 as possible but wouldnt mind going over if there is a good deal..Please let me know if anyone has any ideas. Thanks.

OSU, It has nothing to do with your Big 10 affiliation, I assure you! :)

At any rate, using Hotwire for your dates of travel, it appears that there is a 5* available for $320; this should be the Venetian on the North Strip. In the same zone, there is a 4* for $241, so it looks like the (and I really hate to type the following words when its not even Summer yet) Labor Day weekend is driving up prices. Hpwever, it appears that there is a 4* in the Near Strip East zone for $94, this is listed as a Best Value and has the following amenities: Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Spa, Hi-Speed Internet, Golf, Business. This has been previously reported as the 4* Westin Casuarina. This property is frequently available on Priceline in the Strip zone, so you might want to start bidding a bit lower, maybe $80. I also checked EasyClickTravel Travel Search and prices seemed very high for your dates as well.

Good luck!
