tlc Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 3*, bid 45 per nite, downtown Denver, got accepted first time. I got Red Lion Denver Downtown. Very excited, but then learned that this hotel should not be rated a 3 *. Seems many PL people have made this claim. It seems that PL has a standard for 3*, but this hotel does not meet it. Why does PL, keep it a 3 *. Very diappointed now. Is there a creditblity issue here? I would like to know if anyone hold PL to their ratings?
thereuare Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 Users and customers hold Priceline to their ratings. Not much you can do about this at this point except go with an open mind, as there are many examples on this board where users are disappointed with thier results due to the report of others but end up being pleasantly surprised. When you return, if you feel this hotel is unsatisfactory you can email Priceline and tell them specifics as to why you feel this hotel is misrated. If they get enough complaints than they will eventually downgrade the hotel. You didn't post the date(s) of your stay (which would be great if you add them :) ) but if the hotel is downgraded between now and your arrival then you'll have a legitimate reason to have Priceline cancel this reservation. Please add your own review to our HOTEL REVIEWS section when you return. tlc Posted November 4, 2003 Author Report Posted November 4, 2003 I hope that the stay will be pleseant. I will be there for 5 days 11/16-21. It was just a disappointment to read only negative comments, all from priceline buyers. I did send pl my concerns as well. Thanks
Nautica3 Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Keep in mind that the Red Lion DT Denver isn't actually in Downtown proper. It's across the highway, closer to the football stadium. If you don't have a car, you're going to need shuttle service or a cab to get to downtown proper--it's too far to walk it, IMO.Nautica
