gradstudent Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 First Priceline bid ... first post.4* London(Mayfair-Soho) Millennium Mayfair $107...6/30/06-7/02/06Only bidding Mayfair-Soho 4* (only wanted to stay in that area and no lower *)So the process took a couple days since no free rebids but went something like:Began at $80 (a figure a little low but what the heck.) rejected offered one immediately for $122.Tried $85 rejected offered $122 again.Tried $90 rejected offered a rebid if I would increase my bid $22.Tried $95 rejected offerd the same immediate rebid for $22 increase in bid.Tried $107 (wanted to be different) ..accepted.Each bid was on the next day. Maybe could have gotten for a little less than 107 but a few bucks isn't that big of deal since I still saved liked $150 even over the Expedia or hotel page rates.Hope someone finds this helpful.-JC
Blueskies Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Hi Gradstudent,If you are a tennis fan you should try to catch the Wimbledon tennis tournament which is on when you are in town. You can queue without tickets for grounds access and there is a big screen. Great atmosphere.Have a great time whatever. Blueskies
