I want to book a day at one of the resorts in San Antonio or adjoining areas. I had seen a few postings in this board on this topic.

I am looking for booking it next weekend (05/13 - 05/14) if the price is right. Can you guys suggest what is the price I'm most likely to pay and the strategy I need to adopt?

Thanks for all the great advice you give.

Perhaps looking at the hotel list for the city and looking at conventional rates would be a good start.

Do you have a maximum bid and have you checked Hotwire to see what rate they are offering for a resort?

I have checked hotwire but dont see anything for resorts. For the maximum bid, I would like it to be around $100 or below.

The only San Antonio zone with "resort" classified hotels is the San Antonio West zone... is this the only area you're willing to bid? (see the PRICELINE Hotel List for what has been reported)

I also wouldn't put too much emphasis on a "resort" classification as there are many 4* hotels that would probably suit your needs (although probably won't) while there are other "Resort" hotels that you may not consider to by very 'resort-y'.

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
