Of course you can keep trying $100 max, however I think you are very unlikely to be succesful. We see the Marriott and Renaissance come up frequently in the $80-$90 range, but only when rates are between

I agree, in part, due to the dates, that the $100 price is not likely to succeed with the Marriott. A holiday in Amsterdam end of April.

However, I stayed at the Marriott last year, with a successful bid of $90, when their web site was at 209e.

With the Apollo at 144e, Jolly at 138e, and Sofitel at 149e, I don't think it is time to panic -- yet. Reward point stay is still available at both Marriott and Renaissance. Really don't want to overbid for the Apollo.

For such a short stay, I'm even considering taking a shot for a 3 star airport (Courtyard) which has been successful at $55-65. The 300 bus has great service and terminates at the Bijlmer station, which is perfect.

I used to consult Marriott, occupancy % is an important number. Just wish I still had system access, lol.

Bidding is an interesting thing if you want to be creative. I would suggest being creative while it lasts.

That said, as expected, rates changed.

4* City Marriott went up 40e to 269e = $331

4* City Renaissance came down 70e to 159e (139e single bed) = $196

3* Airport Courtyard at 171e = $210

Took a shot at 5* for $125, failed, add 4* at $90, failed.

New bid 4* for $100, failed.

Counter offer is now up to $143.

Note: NH has 4* rooms as low as 109e, a bit out of the way, but in city and available.

Added 3* Airport, Bid $55, failed, counter offer for $15.

For those on short trips to AMS -- from the Courtyard to Center City take the 300 bus.

Overbos station, across the street from hotel (150 M), you have a choice.

Take bus to Hoofddorp train station, where you can get the train to Amsterdam Central Station (40 Min)

or

Take bus all the way to Amsterdam, Bijlmer (Foppingadreef) station, Very South East Amsterdam, but an outstanding station.

Good thing, the return bus trip is available until just after Midnight.

Hotel shuttle bus doen't run late, so there is no late night option, except a taxi from airport at 25e+

Hotel is about 20 min from airport.

Update: Overbus station is: 250 Meters away. Don't get off at Hoofddorp, go to the airport, much easier. The bus stop at the airport is as far left as possible in bus row (from shuttle curb cross to 2nd landing.) Pay when boarding.
