biddingforhotel Posted April 11, 2006 Report Share Posted April 11, 2006 I just got one night at $45, but after seeing this previous bid in 2003 got $33 that reminds me that I got $35 on AmeriSuites at Mt Laural NJ not long ago, so I just tried again for my own curiosity, and I got this nice AmeriSuites at $35 at the first bid for another day... :) Link to comment

At 5pm, 6pm and 7pm, the hotel shuttle leave hotel to Mohegan Sun and Foxwood Casinos, and at 8pm, 9pm and 10pm, the shuttle picked up guest back. However, it is not free, it is $10 per person. For cab, it is $30 one way...I would not be surprised because the parking lot is FREE. Normally, if the hotel provide free parking lot, often in rural area, the shuttle is not free. On the other hand, in cities where parking cost a lot, but they provide free shuttle. Therefore, our rule of thumb is for hotel with free parking, we will drive and for hotel who charge parking we use their free shuttle service. Fair?!Btw, I guess we will not have chance to eat pizza this time because AmeriSuite has nice sit down hot breakfast that is complimentary, and we normally will eat nice buffet at Mohegan Sun or Fox Woods after visiting museums... Pequot Museum right next to Foxwoods only $60 for family membership, Mystic Aquarium $110 and Mystic Seaport $75 which I think well worth ...I am writing here at AmeriSuite, and I got to tell you that I got a steal! this is the best for my family trip and it is conveniently located all the attractioins we are interested in.We left NJ and drove one hour very gladly to hit some traffic at Tapenzee Bridge so that we got extensive gorgeous view and then had a nice dinner at PF Changs write at Westchester Mall at Whiteplains NY. Then we had another hour drive and landed Westfield mall at x39 where nice Border bookstore and Dicks and other stores gave us some hometown feeling, then another hour to arrive here ... Not too many cars in the parking lot, less than 50% ... Guess that's why we got good price ...Nice complimentary wireless Internet and we have multiple portables, so we can work remotely from the hotel as well, with cell phone, very cool ... Kids can stayed connected with their buddys, all over the country on spring break ... Since the museums are all very close to the hotel, so we are going to do some work in the morning after breakfast and get some assignment emails over to our colleagues before heading museums. If got any esclate calls can not handle right at museum over cell, can pop back hotel to get online, all within 5 min drive ... What a nice work/vacation mix! Link to comment
