Senay Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 Is there any way to bid beach front hotel in Miami, FL (Miami Beach). I have to make sure that I am getting beach front hotel. Do you think I have chance to get it by using priceline? :) Please help! Thanks a lot.
Senay Posted April 10, 2006 Author Report Posted April 10, 2006 Our dates are April 22 thru April 26. Amenities: Beach front and Free parking.
thereuare Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 If you must have a beachfront property i would stick with Hotiwre rather than Priceline. Are those the only two amenities shown to be assoiciated with the hotel you're being offered? What is the star rating? What is your budget? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Senay Posted April 11, 2006 Author Report Posted April 11, 2006 The cheapest 2.5*beach front hotels I find are around $140/night. I am trying to find 3- 4* for around $100-$130. Do you have any idea what is the lowest price I can get for this? I have never bid on hotwire before :) . Do they have option to bid on beach front hotels. Thanks for your help. :)

Senay Posted April 12, 2006 Author Report Posted April 12, 2006 I have not tried to bid yet. These are the two important amanities I am looking for.
thereuare Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 You're not going to be able to guarantee either of the above thru Priceline. With Hotiwre you'll be able to know if the hotel is beachfront based upon the amenities shown... but 'free parking' is only going to show if you book a condo type property (which i don't recommend)You'll have to figure out your best price thru conventional means which include free parking, then keep your Priceline/Hotwire limit low enough to compensate for additional parking charges. bellisq Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 just so you know, the hottest neigborhood, south beach, (the blocks 2nd through 13,) has NO hotels on the beach, they are all across the street. That means the beach is beautful and wider in the most southern part. As you go from blocks 14 - 22, you have the major and mostly very expensive hotels on the beach, but the majority of folks coming to SoBe aren't staying on the beach.
