britatheart Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 I started a bid for a 4* at $85 in Georgetown... denied.Upped bid to $90 and added Woodley Park/Dupont... denied.Added White House and upped bid to $95... got the Sofitel.Taxes were $21.05. After staying at a 4* in Woodley Park (Omin Shoreham) the two days prior to this, we were suprised that they were both considered 4*. The Sofitel is easily a 5*, though I realize that Priceline doesn't go that high. Amazing service, decor, etc. We were truly pleased. We requested two doubles as we were travelling with two children and a non-smoking room. The front desk was more than accomodating and helpful. FYI, we were unable to do the TV checkout at this hotel, due to having prepaid through Priceline. This was an excellent value, IMO, during the Cherry Blossom Festival and downtown. These rooms were going for $480 when I checked for the same night.
