I'm not sure why it's necessary to report the Roanoke info at this late date, but here goes: Due to lack of availability, we stayed one night at the Wyndham and one at the Amerisuites, both obtained through Hotwire.

Now that that's out of the way, do you have any info about my NYC request?

Because as it now stands nobody reading your other thread above will know if you ultimately found success or if you made alternate plans. Unfortunately, you replied in this thread so others users will still not know what you ultimately did for that stay... please follow-up as a reply to your Roanoke thread.

As well, don't you think that other users could benefit from your Hotwire results? How about posting them along with the pertinent information (dates, zones, star ratings, hotel name, amenities shown before purchase, etc) in the corresponding state category on the board... all of this information can still be viewed by going to Hotwire and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.

Thanks a bunch, thereyouare. You were right on. It was the Roosevelt, and I got it for $159 after bidding up to $170 on PL, using all possible free rebids (very tight in NYC that week and weekend). Clicked through savingsbarn.com

If you haven't seen already, i always recommend Ess-A-Bagel (51st St and Third Ave) for a cheap and inexpensive breakfast for anyone staying in this area... one of the best bagels in Manhattan they have counter service where you take your tray to your table.
