Priceline Hotel: 3* Newark (Jersey City) Doubletree

This is part 2 of a desired one week stay in Jersey City. I already posted a successful bid for May 13-15, 2006 (Sat - Mon) stay for $75.00. I was trying to get the rest of the week, but found that bidding for the end of the week (Thu - Sat) was much more successful.

I changed the dates and added the Elizabeth re-bid zone to eventually get these two nights. Now, I will look into filling the gap later on. I was hoping to get the Hyatt on the Hudson, but again will not complain about the Doubletree. If I wait until later to try to book nearer the time we are there, I suspect that I will have better luck in booking the Doubletree or the Hyatt. But the wife is a worrier, so I guess I will settle now.

By the way, I went through the Savings Barn website link to PRICELINE. Very seemless process to get to Priceline's website.

Sometimes nothing in this area can be had for under $100, so although not the hotel you were hoping for, still not a bad deal.
