Happy New Year. It has been a long time since I posted, and decided it was time to risk a vacation. Booked the Golden Nugget for $36/night. Not my first time in Vegas but it has been a while since I visited and the first time staying on Fremont. Priceline sent me a coupon for 10% off Vegas express hotels.  Total after using the coupon and taxes/fees  $281.82. There is a resort fee of $244.08 due at the hotel. Amenities are free internet, free parking, gym/spa, pets allowed, non-smoking, handicap accessible, free internet in lobby, gym/spa, pool, restaurant and casino. Not sure why gym/spa is listed twice in the amenities. As always I used the PRICELINE link on this website.

Looks like a nice, inexpensive, stay in Vegas.

 

I was Downtown 3-4 months ago and stopped by Circa to check it out... that place is impressive and worth a stop (NOTE: 21+ and older only... no kids on property at all).  While at Circa i also grabbed a sandwich at Joe Saginaw's which i also highly recommend (Saginaw is one of the partners of world famous Zingerman's in Ann Arbor).  I'm partial to the Georgia Reuben but if you're into Pastrami or Corned Beef those are excellent too (at least that is what Zingermans is best known for).  The sandwiches are not cheap, but they're HUGE... and just as delicious as they are large.

Thanks for the information on Circa and Joe Saginaw's. Will definitely put it on my to do list and will try the Reuben. No under 21 in this group, in fact it has been a while (a long while) since I saw 21. My first trip to Vegas I was 18, but I appeared older so no one carded me, good times had by all on that trip.
