It looks like things have changed with Priceline name your own price. It's only available on the app and you can only choose one neighborhood at a time. You can rebid after 24 hours or by changing the neighborhood or star level. Not being able to choose multiple neighborhoods at once makes the bidding strategy not possible.

As PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, are you OK using priceline for this reservation (assuming you're looking for one room)... or would would you prefer to use HOTWIRE which may cost you a few dollars more, but will guarantee sleeping accommodations for up to quad occupancy (if you include the correct number of guests on your search)

 

What is it exactly that you're looking for in a hotel for this trip?  What is your maximum budget?

We went with Hotwire and got a 2-queen room at the Wyndham Garden Anaheim for $136/night. Jan 30 - Feb 1. 

 

Just curious, is it still possible to do the bididng strategy on Priceline?

Congratulations on your success, hope this worked well for your needs and you enjoyed your stay.

For the time being priceline is moving away from their original bidding model.  We did have a workaround at BiddingForHotelRooms.com, but this too has stopped working.  Next week (as time permits as busy with a few other projects right now) we are going to investigate if it can be fixed.
