Steve Long Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 After some advice. At the moment looking to book 3 nights in September in Vegas.Thinking as we are doing a longer stay a few days later that we will try a 5*.At the moment for the 3 nights priceline is showing retail price of $623 Direct with bellagio I can get it for $597.I wanted to stay preferable at Venetian. Which I assume is still the only 5 star in vegas that sells on Priceline. So what would guys/gals do.Book ballagio at such a good rate and just see if priceline drops?Take a chance on priceline as I can probably get it cheaper but is it going to be only Venetian that I get.Book bellagio and be glad i can get it that cheap?ThanksS.
dahammer Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Thinking as we are doing a longer stay a few days later that we will try a 5*.What does this mean?also, please post your dates of travel and the rate at the Venetian. Please use the Travel Links to Help Support Better Bidding and note that you can reserve the Bellagio through these links and support the board.
Steve Long Posted March 11, 2006 Author Report Posted March 11, 2006 We are staying 19th Sept - 22nd Sept in vegas. Then driving out to the grand canyon before coming back to stay in vegas 26th-30th.Was thinking doing 5* for the first bit. and 4* for the 2nd.Current nightly rates on price line retail level for 19th - 22nd $208Current nightly rate with venetian direct 19th - 22nd $499Current nightly rate with bellagio direct $199.The question is. Do we pay for bellagio at the cheaper rate, or do we chance it with priceline and go for a suite at venetian?
thereuare Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Why not the best of both worlds?Book the Bellagio direct for $199/nite (and please use this link as this board is an affiliate of the MGM properties and using our link, as well as the others in our support page, helps keep this place running and online); as per their website this rate is cancellable up until 48 hours before check-in, so you can continue to try priceline for a better rate at a 5* property. How high would you be willing to bid for a 5* on Priceline? The Venetian is currently the only known 5* hotel in the zone, but new hotels are added all the time and other hotels can be upgraded, so you can always be the first to report a new property or a property reported at a lower star level. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Steve Long Posted March 11, 2006 Author Report Posted March 11, 2006 Thats what i was thinking :)Will use the link on support page when I book it :)Thanks for the advice.
